“Great site!
We had our “second annual” Big Pig BBQ on June 30th and started planning our “third annual” at the same time! The best of the best is what they are: The best quality in food, service, presentation and personality!! Chris and his crew make an ordinary BBQ extraordinary with their attention to detail and their aim to please attitude. They arrive early and stay late and cook the most wonderful food that gets our guests asking for the recipes. We always get the roasted pig that they serve in a variety of ways and is a true crowd pleaser, the grilled steak tips, chicken, salads and the most delicious corn on the cob in the world top off the menu in spectacular style! We already can’t wait for next summer’s Big Pig BBQ and are looking forward a long friendship in the years to come! Thanks Chris and Jon!!! Awesome job as usual!!!

“Big Pig came out to our wedding a month ago and everyone is STILL talking about how good the pig was. I still have dreams of eating that delicious little fella and all the amazing sides. Even the vegetarians were happy with everything!!!!

They were right on time, very professional and very easy to work with.

I’m trying to figure out a good reason to have a party just to have Big Pig come cater it.”

What can I say— Big Pig is AWESOME! They catered a backyard BBQ for us, and the food was amazing (even as leftovers). Not to mention, they were so professional, friendly, gracious, and hard-working.

During the planning stage, I admit, I was very skeptical when my fiance suggested a pig roast. This was, after all, our wedding celebration (in lieu of a more traditional wedding reception). Well, it couldn’t have been better. All of the food was delicious, and the pig roast really made it memorable, festive, and special. I am so glad we did it. Our guests LOVED it and raved about the food!

Do not be afraid. Big Pig provides top notch service and amazing food.

Hi Jon,
I just wanted to say thank you for what was single handedly the best pig of everyone’s life! Everybody started eating it as soon as they walked in the door. The whole thing went pretty fast. People were raving about how delicious it was, including the sauces and the cole slaw. All of your business cards were picked up, so hopefully they will order for you at their next shin dig. You did an incredible job with the pig and really made my daughter’s first birthday quite special. I hope to order more food from you in the future.

Thank you thank you thank you!

Bonus: Tiny Sliders

So I was at a function the other night at West End Johnnies, and came across some pretty mini sliders, and when I say mini I mean they were like popping tic tacs in your mouth. So this poses the question how small is too small to be delicious? Surprisingly, they were actually really good! The mini buns were complete with sesame seeds, there was a tiny pickle slice on each slider, and some ketchup and mustard to finish it off. The only drawback is you have to eat like two dozen to make any kind of dent in your appetite…Get hungry!

7. Spicy Nachos!

Gearing up for tomorrows game, its going to be somewhat chilly here in New England so the next couple of dishes will keep all of our fans nice and warm out there at Gillette Stadium. I think the Pats defense could use a little kick to wake them up…they’ll need it for the post-season for sure.

Ingredients: Various spices (1/2 teaspoon cumin, chili powder, garlic powder, salt), 1/2 lb ground beef, 1/2 diced onion, 1 cup salsa con queso, spicy refried beans, 2 diced roma tomatoes, 1 can black olives, 1/2 cup sliced jalapenos, 1/2 cup shredded cheddar, 1/2 cup shredded jack cheese

So this recipe is nice because it can be made at home in the oven before the game or made right there in the parking lot in your tailgatin’ grill.

1. Preheat oven to 350 or turn grill on low with cover on.

2. Heat up a frying pan, cook ground beef with various seasonings and add diced onions

3. Spread refried beans in the bottom of a glass 8”x8” baking dish, then spread a layer of salsa con queso, then spread the meat mixture on top. Place in oven for 10 minutes

4. Remove from oven and layer with olives, jalapenos, tomatoes, cheddar and jack cheese, place back in oven or grill for 10 minutes.

5. Let cool and enjoy this spicy treat with a cold brew!
